About Us

The Fish Farmers Self-Help Group was formed to harness the
potential of Coastal resources through sustainable mariculture.
The group brings together youth and women to engage in
the farming of high-value marine species such as Marine
Tilapia Milkfish, Prawns and Crabs.
By adopting modern mariculture techniques, the group aims
to boost seafood production, create jobs, and support the
growing demand for fish and marine products while
conserving natural ecosystems.

To improve livelihoods through sustainable marine farming, innovation, and responsible use of Coastal resources.

Core Activities

Marine Fish Farming

Farming species such as Marine Tilapia and Milkfish using Ponds, Cages  and Coastal Pens

Crustacean  Farming

Rearing prawns and crabs for commercial  sale, focusing on high-value  export markets

Hatchery & Fingerling  Production

Producing  quality fingerlings  and juveniles  to  ensure a  sustainable  supply chain

Training & Capacity Building

Equipping members  with  skills in mariculture, water quality management,  and business  development.   high- value export markets.

Economic & Social Impact

Creates employment  and income  for Coastal communities

Enhances  food security through increased fish  production.

Supports   the  Blue economy  and local fisheries  value chain.

Reduces pressure  on wild fish  stocks. Promotes  sustainable  and climate-smart aquaculture.

Future plans

The Mariculture  Fish Farmers  Self-Help  Group is a forward-looking   initiative  driving sustainable  use of marine resources.  By combining   innovation,  environmental stewardship,  and community  empowerment,   the  group is unlocking   the  potential  of the  Blue; Circular economy while improving  livelihoods  and food systems.
